Club Football News
Dear All
As most of you will now be aware, I am running in the Marathon des
Sables in less than a month. The race is the toughest foot race in the world and
covers 151 miles in a week in the heat of the Sahara desert, all for Great
Ormond Street!
You are probably bored of hearing about it and we are bored of talking about it,
but are making one last push for sponsorship.
If you have not already donated please go to www.justgiving.com/alexandoli
In addition we are running a fundraising evening on the 19th March in central
London, with an optional £2 entry. It willl be in a bar, so there will be
drinks, with an auction and raffle with some top prizes, it may be the
last time you see us, so please come along!
If you are keen please let me know and I will send out the venue when it has
been confirmed (otherwise I will email you all again!)
Kind Regards
Oli

The Club has been awarded the "FA Charter Standard Adult Club Award"
The Charter Standard Scheme is best practice guide that sets standards of coaching, administration and child protection for clubs working with young people. As a benchmark for quality, it will improve the playing experience for all.

Charter Standard for Clubs
The Football Association, through its Charter Standard scheme, seeks to establish, reward and encourage good practice at grass roots levels so that parents and children can demand a minimum standard of provision from schools, clubs and holiday courses.
The Charter Standard was introduced as part of the The Football Association's Charter for Quality in 1997, which places the player central to all football developments. It s key aims are to raise standards, recognise good practice, reward quality.
The Charter Standard for Schools was launched in October 1999 by Kevin Keegan and Michael Owen as the first stage of the programme. The next stage is the Charter Standard for Clubs, which was launched on 1 February 2001 by Harry and Jamie Redknapp, and following the evaluation from the Pilot Programme, The Football Association will provide three awards:
Charter Standard Adult Club
Charter Standard Club
Charter Standard Development Club
Charter Standard Community Club
